eylog is an early years learning journal software that helps nurseries create detailed learning journeys for each child. Staff can add observations, photos, videos and audio clips to track children’s development, assess progress against early years frameworks and share daily updates with parents in real-time. eylog aims to capture every young child’s developmental milestones and make their early learning journey memorable.

You can expect to be up and running within a week. But this can vary depending on how many customers we’re currently onboarding, your training requirements, and any custom requirements you have.

 

eylog helps nurseries create individual child progress reports, cohort summaries, and observations linked to statutory frameworks such as the EYFS. It also digitally records accidents, medication, and daily diaries, giving you a secure and reliable audit trail that’s ready for Ofsted inspections.

Yes, the eylog tablet application includes an offline mode, enabling you to record observations from any location. Once you’re back in the nursery and connected to WiFi, the tablet will automatically sync with the eyworks server, saving all data as usual. However, other features on eyworks require an internet connection to access real-time information from our servers.

We recommend having at least one tablet per group or room. For more independent access, you may opt for one tablet per nursery practitioner. If a room has more than 2-3 staff members, sharing a single tablet may become challenging. However, you can always add more tablets as you determine what setup best suits your team’s needs. The eylog practitioner app works on both iPads (iOS 9 and above) and Android (Android 8 and above) tablets with a minimum 7 inch screen.

eylog allows practitioners to document observations and daily updates right from the nursery room, helping managers maintain staff-to-child ratios throughout the day. Parents receive real-time updates about their child’s activities through the eyparent app, while children benefit from more dedicated attention from nursery staff.

Most EYFS trackers help nurseries record children’s development, but eylog also helps teams quickly see progress, spot trends and share updates with families. Educators can view progress by child, room, key worker, cohort or date, compare progress over time, and export reports when needed.

Absolutely not, eylog is one of our products and can be taken completely standalone. However if taken with eymanage , children’s booking schedules and collection permissions are visible on the practitioner app. eylog product subscription starts from £19 per month and includes all available features.
